Police are investigating the death of a woman whose body was found in her house in Kitengela, Kajiado County. The body of Angeline Muthina was found lying dead in her residential house on Sunday long after she had died. Police said they are yet to establish the cause of the death. The woman lived alone in the house. The body was moved to the mortuary pending autopsy and other investigations. Elsewhere in Jamhuri area, Kibera, the body of a man aged 35 was found in a thicket. A senior Hamas official has shared with the BBC a list of 34 hostages that the Palestinian group says it is willing to release in the first stage of a potential ceasefire agreement with Israel. It is unclear how many of those named remain alive. A woman was questioned after she told police she stabbed and killed an intruder in her house in Kerwa Town, Kiambu County. The body of the deceased man identified as Peter Gachunga was found sprawled in the woman’s house with stab wounds in the chest. The incident happened Sunday January 5 morning, police said. Police recovered National and Kenya Police Service flags that were stolen when irate members of public invaded the Chemase Police Post, Nandi County. The attack took place on January 2, 2025 leaving a murder suspect Victor Kimtai lynched. Kimtai was in police custody pending arraignment for murder. The body of an Indian journalist who had reported on alleged corruption in the country has been found in a septic tank in Chhattisgarh state. Mukesh Chandrakar, 32, went missing on New Year’s Day and his family registered a complaint with the police.
