    Facebook Developers Workshop in Nairobi Scheduled on 26th August

    Facebook is hosting a Facebook for Developers workshop for Kenyan software engineers, product managers and partners in Nairobi on 26th Augustto help them build better applications and monetise them more effectively. The session will be packed with practical advice and information about how developers can take advantage of the latest features of the Facebook Platform, Bots on Messenger and Open Source development tools.

    The Facebook Product Partnerships, and Engineering teams will provide attendees with instruction via code-labs, tech-talks, and updates on the latest Facebook Platform products, all designed to help developers build and grow a successful business.

    The event will be split into three workshop streams including:

    • Reaching your audience with Bots on Messenger
    • Building fast and reliable login flows with Account Kit
    • Making your apps globally accessible with React Native

    “Facebook is passionate about working with Kenyan developers and entrepreneurs to deliver experiences that meet the needs of their community. This workshop is all about empowering them with the tools and expertise they need to create solutions and services that are powerful, engaging and relevant,” says Emeka Afigbo, Strategic Product Partnerships Manager at Facebook. “It’s also an opportunity to listen to our developers and learn more about how we can better serve the Kenyan community by working with our partners.”

    “In line with our focus on teaching and training world-class developers for African markets, we are pleased to be associated with this event,” says Audrey Cheng, CEO and co-founder at Moringa School. “This is a great opportunity for software engineers and product managers to hear about the latest technologies and tools that Facebook offers its developers in emerging markets.”
