    Free Entry To IAAF U18 Championships For All Kenyans Willing T o Attend, Uhuru Kenyatta

    iaafPresident Kenyatta is feeling generous hence free entry to all Kenyans willing to attend the historic U-18 IAAF World Championships at Kasarani stadium.

    Kenyatta said this during the official opening of the events which started on Tuesday until Sunday.

    Initially, those willing to view the events from the terrace were to pay Sh 200, while VIP’s Sh 500 and VVIP’s Sh1,000.

    “The gates are open free of charge to all Kenyans who wish to attend this historic event,” the President said.

    Though the event was disrupted for minutes due to heavy rains, the spirits of both participants and spectators remained high.

    Kenya hopes to scoop more medals due to home ground advantage were equally not dashed.

    The country’s hopes of winning an inaugural medal in the 100m race were, crushed after Elijah Onkware, the only athlete in the semis, finished sixth place.
