Kenya Airways has announced that it will cease Eldoret – Nairobi flights from April 1st. The national carrier has not revealed reasons behind the move but it is said to be one of the most unprofitable routes.

All those who were booked to fly the Nairobi – Eldoret route will either be transfered to Jambo Jet or given refund for part  of the journey which has not been utilised. All refund penalties will be waived according to a statement from Kenya Airways.

The route will now be served by Kenya Airways’ low cost arm, Jambo Jet from 1st April. Jambo jet will cost Ksh 2,850 to fly the Kisumu, Mombasa and Eldoret routes.
